Yangmee was recently named among the most influential 100 Asian Americans in Colorado. In addition to her role with insurance sales, she tackles assignments for our board and shows initiative to advance our cause. Yangmee is an articulate and compelling woman who has been influenced by the stories of her parents and Hmong elders who escaped the attempted genocide in Laos and courageously came to the U.S. from refugee camps, learning to read and write English and taking menial jobs to support their families. For Yangmee, her board service is an opportunity to remember, acknowledge, and honor her living and deceased ancestors.
