John served as a USMC pilot with 450 missions in the F4 Phantom. He is now retired from his career as a commercial pilot and writing a book about his experiences. John often flew sorties out of Nam Phong, Thailand during the Secret and Vietnam Wars and personally witnessed the skill and bravery of Hmong pilots.
